Consumed from a pre-poured Crowler purchased directly at the brewery in Johnson City, TN.
Chestnut brown with minimal head and nearly still.
Aroma is sweet chocolate with medium caramel notes, light herbal hops to balance.
Flavor is syrupy and has a strange vinous almost leathery quality that doesn’t work well. Flavor is somewhat impacted by the low carbonation of the beer.
Feel is poor due to low carbonation which intensifies the cloying quality and makes it hard to drink.
Disappointing — wonder if it was a pouring or sealing issue given the low-low carbonation.
