On tap at the brewery taproom in Johnson City.
Pours with a clear but very dark brown body with attractive highlights and a decent off-white head.
As the aroma immediately reveals, this is actually a bourbon barrel aged beer, and the bourbon nearly masks the chocolate and dark roasted grains. Hints of coconut and dark dried fruits.
The brew is nearly as bitter as sweet.
Feel: Medium-full body and light carbonation.
Overall: heartily recommended, especially you like bourbon barrel aged dark beers. .
