On tap at the Abnormal Beer Company first anniversary celebration.
Roasted malt, coffee and a hint of maple. A solid coffee porter. Somewhat thin in texture.

Had on tap at The Cork and Craft / Abnormal Beer Co. Being a huge fan of draft Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout and what some maple syrup can do...I was curious about this big coffee/maple syrup porter. Found it to be a very good imperial porter that had some strong coffee notes nicely complemented by the sweet maple sugar syrup. Big taste and smooth as silk. Great dessert beer, and at 9.5% would suggest a modest snifter pour. Then maybe a few more.

Nice smoky eggo waffle aroma and taste, maple syrup is really prominent, but it's definitely not a different or subtle maple syrup flavor to me. This was more like Aunt Jemima, let's-see-what-happens-when-I-put-this-in-my-beer type thing, which isn't a bad idea, it is good, but I'm not sure how often I could actually drink this because it is pretty sweet.
