On draft at the source - served in a Kilowatt shaker full pint
Golden amber look with some well conditioned clarity to it. This one is also adorned with a half inch cap of khaki foam froth that leaves sticky rings and dots of lace hugging my glass.
Aroma again is not the standout here as we come to love in big West Coast IPA's. I get more ripened orchared fruit than anything, peach and apricot laid over a toasty bread note. Hops are backing up with some evergreens and citrus - orange peel. Drinkable for sure but nothing to the customs of San Diego IPA's. Has loads of stone fruit like esters to it nice bready pale malt base and more classic C Hops that bring notes of tangerine, pine boughs, and fresh cut cedar. The alcohol is kept well hidden being a Double here but again mouthfeel and texture is falling short with me. Has a washed out sensation. There lies some moderate bitterness and playful froth but finding most of their brews have a small system - homebrew kinda of feel. Not really in a negative connotation just how I perceive it, and I feel the texture does hurt this brew overall. The water flavor comes through more than the usual.

Slightly hazy yellow golden color, white head. Fruity and grassy hop aroma. Similar flavor, fairly bitter. Mouthfeel is a bit sticky.

Slight chill haze on the orangey amber brew. Just a bit of coarse froth in the Crooked Line tulip. Grapefruit aroma. Thickish body with malty substance. Very highly flavored, sharp, and bitter, though still drinkable. But there's a fruit juice flavor from the back of the refrigerator that's less than inviting.
Very sweet, sugary even. Wintergreen and celery. There is some grilled peach and pine in the hop flavors. More than a hint of old grapefruit from the fruit bowl. Warm malt with an acidic edge. From the Kilowatt tasting room in Ocean Beach.
