This is a nice surprise-- a fruity Berlinerweiss that isn't painfully sour. Body is extremely light but nicely carbonated. Very fragrant with fruit salad. Mouthfeel is sharp but not overly acidic. One of the lowest alcohol beers I've tasted but flavorful.
Flavors of pineapple, white grapes, and something like mango. Tangy and refreshing and really fruity. Simple stuff, but I can't see drinking a more vinegary Berliner is going to give you more complexity. Even this gets a little old after a couple of small glasses.
Pours a clear golden with long-lasting white foam in the 1998 GABF flute. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at the Ocean Beach tasting room.
