They say this one is brewed with cherries and cocoa, along with the confusing cross-style confabulation. But it's really tasty and the cherries come throughmore and more as it warms. There is a boozy nose but I don't think of Bourbon as much as some of these brews. It is a little short on carbonation but the mouthfeel is luxurious.
Sweet with burnt sugar and hot caramel, it's a fancy candy of a beer. Tangy finish and well balance with just a light dose of bitter chocolate in the aftertaste. This is perfectly sippable and a different take on the barrel-aged brew. From the 22 oz bottle purchased out of the cooler at the Ocean Beach tap.
