September 20th, 2016 - Kilowatt's Barrel Aged Belgian strong lands a little flat, from the nose to the tongue. At first it shows some promising cherry notes on the olfactory, but that subtly shifts aside to reveal some unpleasant and bitter cough medicine smells. The mouthfeel also ruins the flavor, running flat. The notes of apple cider and cherry juice do there best, but whatever is causing the cough medicine note is back in the flavor, expressing as a cringing bitterness.
