This is a solid brew across the board, but nothing particularly stands out, either. An all-German ingredient list (including water chemistry design, purportedly) is a nice gimmick, and makes for a solid, enjoyable beer, but one that is not memorable.

There is a touch of citrus and pine both on the nose and the palate; malts are grainy and toasty. Mouthfeel is a touch edgy.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a translucent dark orange color within inch of creamy head. Some lacing. The aroma is piney and floral hops with a good deal of bready malts. The taste is sweet floral hops followed by some piney notes. More bready malts towards the end with grassy and floral hops at the finish. Fair amount of bitterness for a Pale Ale. Medium bodied. Almost a bit too floral for me but it's still pretty good. Overall, worth a try.
