Liberation Propagation is the imperial version of Libation Propaganda. While still showcasing Captain Bill's Bold Blend Coffee from Ashlawn Farm Coffee, this robust beer exhibits a silky, smooth texture layered with dark chocolate notes from organic cacao nibs. She's a sipper, a full-bodied, balanced blend of bold flavors, and she promises to keep you warm through the holidays.

Very attractive dark black brew with a slight mocha head. Aroma isn't particularly revealing; there's a touch of coffee and roast malt.

Flavor follows its predecessor (the regular strength Libation Propaganda coffee stout). It's not quite one-note, and the coffee strength is much more balanced with the higher ABV. It's a touch nutty, and a touch ashy.

Sticky, thick feel.

While this is very good, I had sky high expectations for the brew based on Libation Propaganda. I don't feel those were met, but I definitely think this will be a brew well worth revisiting in the future.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a pitch black color with almost no head. Minimal lacing. The aroma is lots of coffee and chocolate with some earthiness and a hint of vanilla. The taste is tons of coco nibs and espresso. Chocolatey and earthy with roasted malts. Lots of cocoa nibs at the finish with the roastiness of the malts and coffee. Chewy mouthfeel. Drinkable and not too boozey. Somehow they have improved on one of their best beers. Overall, amazing.
