everyone in our group was pumped on this, a light bit still bitter pale ale dosed with green tea. its smart in every way, i love how drinkable it is and how well the hops and the tea go together, well selected, timed, and dosed. just a touch darker than blonde, unfiltered but not heavy or messy looking, and fizzy to drink but not holding much head. the nose is fantastic, a fresh and fragrant herbal profile right away, a little chlorophyll in the mix, matcha tea, bitter greens, and then some citrus from the hops highlighting that, really fresh and upbeat. there is a little more grain in the taste than in the aroma, faint toast, dry the whole way, a biscuit note, as fresh as the tea and the hops seem. nothing from the ferment at all, so the whole back end of this is all hops and the green tea. lightly floral, elderflower or something, bitter and starting early with it, light lime and lemon too, grassy from the tea, smooth from the grain, fairly fast finishing. complex but also summery and drinkable, i think the tea is spot on and im surprised its not used more in beers like this to compliment hops. outer light continues to impress me, ive liked pretty much all ive had from them so far, some pretty clever recipes up their sleeve. i could drink a half dozen of these, love the low alcohol and the restraint in general. super good. id buy this all the time if it were available where i live...

A: hazy; medium gold in color; 1 finger white head that receded to a wispy cap; nice lacing;
S: citrus for a moment, then the green tea takes over;
T: at the outset, it's green tea with citrus in the background; from the middle through the finish; it's all green tea; mild bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; doesn't dry out at all;
O: easy drinking; would pair well with a lot of food;

Overall, an awesome beer. Something very different from anything else I'd tried and it quickly became a staple for me. Nothing incredible to write home about, but a solid beer nonetheless. Green tea flavor isn't super prominent in my opinion, but it balances everything out well

32oz growler from the brewery. Pours a hazy burnt orange color with a 1/4 inch of head. The aroma is green tea, melon, lemon, and biscuity malts. Minimal lacing. Light floral and grassy notes. The taste is where you really get the green tea taste. Besides the loose leaf green tea the lemon drop hops add some nice lemon flavor to it. Grassy and floral green tea finish with a light sweetness. Toasted malts at the finish as well. Very drinkable, almost like drinking an iced green tea. Medium bodied with not much carbonation. Overall, fantastic beer.
