Collaboration with Cold Creek Brewery.
Outer Light and Cold Creek decided to put their own twist on this old style by brewing a blonde Bière de Garde with Pinot Grigio grapes. We then enhanced the wine character by adding Hallertau Blanc hops, which impart a grape-like sweetness comparable to Nelson Sauvin hops. Then we dry hopped it with just a touch of Citra for an even juicier finish. The malt bill is unique as well. It contains 16% spelt, which is a species of wheat that imparts a slightly nutty flavor.
The result is Out Cold Blonde Bière de Garde, a beer unlike any other that we've released. And at 8.6%, it'll help you chase away those winter blues.
IBUs: 16
SRM: 5
Hops: Hallertau Blanc, Citra
Malts: Pilsen, Spelt, Vienna, Aromatic, Acidulated

Beautiful hazy brew; strong head.
Sweet and hoppy aroma: fruit, a touch of bubblegum, lemon, honey.
Sweet on the palate; almost tangy; smooth and fruity, like biting into a peach dipped in syrup. A touch grainy; the malts are carried well. The hops are well integrated into the entire package. Slightly reminiscent of wine in spots.
