our can says 7.8% abv on this one, and they may have changed the hops up too, looks like this one is is flux, light on the alcohol for an imperial, but i dont mind a more drinkable beer, no sign of booziness in this at all, its smooth and clean and mellow in that regard. its a weird ipa though, sort of between hazy and not, unfiltered looking but light in body, not starchy or yeasty feeling at all, and the hops are strange, i dont know if its not real fresh or what but i get a sort of green olive character on the back end, unfamiliar from any hop varietal, but i kind of dig it, a unique hop complexion overall too, whatever types they are using in here now. nose and taste of green olive, tea, and grassy spiciness, almost a noble thing, a little green onion thing to me, straw and hay, dried orange rind, southern hemisphere hop fruitiness, kiwi and green melon, and slight oxidation, soft oaty type base, not a ton of body for what it is. i get light mango, green pepper, and nopales. low bitterness and vegetal in a new way, not like over hopped but like as an essential part of the hops themselves in here, no to do with dosage but with profile, makes this kind of exotic even if im not in love with it, and for that reason i dig it actually, so many beers in this space taste the same, this one is really unique, and for better or worse i reckon its for the better, if that makes sense. might not be off the charts in terms of quality, but it is certainly memorable. i dont think all the information here for it is accurate.

A: cloudy; medium gold in color; less than a 1 finger ivory head that receded to a big bubbled collar; little lacing;
S: not very aromatic; what's there is dank grapefruit;
T: dank grapefruit throughout with pineapple and orange getting added in midway; mild bitterness on the finish;
M: medium bodied; light to moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: nice flavor, but not much aroma and under carbonated (which may well be related);

12 oz. can.
Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a hazy, light golden body with some lacing. Nose of tropical fruit (papaya), sweet citrus (orange, tangerine), and a bit of floral/herbal aromas wafting in and out. Very pleasant! Taste mirrors nose fairly closely with the fruity aspects and melon, but finish is a tad strange with a bit of citrus pith with something I just can't put my finger on. Maybe papaya pith? I just don't know. Nice feel and overall, a tasty DIPA, for sure. Cheers!

Appearance – Clear yellow body with just a thin ring of head. Sample glass.
Aroma – Grainy, light malts, sweet, and floral.
Taste – Grains, a little fruity, sweet, and floral. A touch of something that tasted like lager yeast.
Mouthfeel – A little bit thin, just kind of off.
Overall – Did not taste like a DIPA in my opinion.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into an IPA style glass. Clean white head. with decent staying power above an amber colored body. Aroma of citrus fruit, which is reaffirmed on the first sip. Tasting of grapefruit, melon, and blackberries.Very mild hops on the backend, with a well-hidden 8.5% abv. An excellent DIPA.

Decent double, but nothing special in this tough market!
I couldn't find a date on the can and that's disappointing.
$10.99 4pk. of 12oz. cans.
Maybe my cans weren't fresh.

A very delicate flavor. Juicy with melon notes dominant. A bit of hops at the finish and transition from sweet to just a bit of bitterness. Another high quality NE style dipa.

Had this on tap at Prime, Foxwoods. I'm confused a bit. This site states 9% ABV but the Brewery site states 8.5%, see:
Double IPA features light malt and a hazy appearance that suddenly yields to bright, big hop flavor. Pacific hops impart notes of papaya, berry and black tea with an enticing tropical fruit aroma. One sip will part the clouds and lead you to the summit of flavor. 8.5%, Lots of IBU; Hops: Idaho 7, Mosaic; Malts: Pisner, Oats, Carapils, Acidulated
