Way back in February, we collaborated with local homebrewers Bob Jacko, Jay Taylor, and Jason Sherman to brew one of their favorite recipes, a Belgian-style Strong Ale. We didn't brew it malt for malt - we changed a few things, added some Outer Light flair, and took our sweet time getting it ready.
The end result: Jacko Barrel Aged Belgian-Style Strong Ale with Raspberries, Chocolate, and Coffee.
Whew. That's a mouthful. And also an accurate description. Since March, it's been sitting in bourbon barrels (same barrels as the 2016 Pitch and Roll Imperial Stout) and in red wine barrels from Jonathan Edwards. We blended it all together for this monster beer that tastes...just great, actually.
You don't want to miss this limited beer, brewed with love by Outer Light and friends.
IBUs: Whatever
SRM: 26
Malts: 2 Row, Maris Otter, Flaked Oats, Wheat, Caramel 10, Caramel 80, Blackprinz, Dark Candi Sugar, Dextrose
Hops: Tettnang, Magnum
