Pastry stouts are SOOOO last year. A pastry kölsch, though!? Where do we sign up?
Today, we’re dropping BAKE SHOP (5.5% ABV) Blueberry Oatmeal Cookie Kölsch on tap and in cans.
We got together with the masterminds of flour and sugar at Sift Bake Shop in Mystic to create this spinoff of their delicious Blueberry Oatmeal Cookie. Our interpretation uses a combination of Cara Vienna and Carapils Copper malts to give our “oatmeal cookie” base that familiar flavor. Cara Vienna lends notes of caramel and toffee, while Carapils Copper gives us cinnamon cookie vibes.
We added blueberry purée to bring the whole thing home, and ended with a clean, light-medium bodied, drinkable cookie. Boom shakalaka.
