Each beer in the this series features a single hop, and for the latest version we turned to nature for inspiration. 1320 has a wild origin story, having been discovered trailside during a hike in Northern Idaho in 2015. In the case of this beer, nature has gifted us a hop perfectly suited for additions throughout beer maturation process.
Upon first approach, the aroma pleases with hints of vanilla, mango, pineapple and orange. Immediately after the first sip, we’re tasting a pleasant dank citrus up front, followed quickly by notes of pine and stone fruit. The body of this beer is soft and smooth, a perfect canvas upon which to paint 1320.
Head for the Hills is an ideal pairing for a post hike brew or as an Apres gathering charcuterie companion. So grab a 4-pack (or 2) throw the trail map in your pack, and head for the hills!
