an easy sour here, not too acidic for drinking, and a curious fruit combination for a beer, more seltzer flavors than ale in my experience, but i dont dislike it, way more lime than cran, i wonder if the lush is a base for whatever fruits they want to play with, would make sense to have this be a series. blonde to honey colored beer, no color at all from any cranberry, short white head fading fast as is often the case with sour beer, and with a neat nose thats more tart from the limes from any lactic kettle action, although they kind of strike a similar note, especially as it warms a minute. there is obvious tang from cranberry too, so all three main elements here are playing in the same part of the sandbox. it might be wheat based, but any grain is quite subtle in aroma and flavor, this is about the piquant lime more than anything else, natural enough to me, bold enough to run through most of the cranberry and malt, but this is well enough grounded that the acid doesnt run away, and it stays beery too even though that aspect is light. there is some body to this which i dont mind, hate a watery sour and this one definitely isnt, i also usually dont want this kind of beer in a pint glass, but its fine here, not too sour to drink that much of it. lots of lime through the whole thing, some bitterness from it on the swallow, zesty, which is better than sugary. i could use a little more carbonation here, its not lifeless but its not popping either. overall a decent little kettle sour, fun fruit combination, and a beer that makes sense for summer, if it ever shows up. i could see this being good with strawberries and rhubarb, rad and black currants, or even white wine grapes. i hope they do some other combinations!
