peaches and cream blonde ale for the summer, looks like the flavors change each year or that a few of these exist, this is not usually my thing but i liked it quite well, and the run of well made and fairly inventive outer light beers continues. a little cloudiness to this which always heavies up the look of a blonde, nice high white head on it though, lasting and airy, good carbonation, it stays plenty light. the nose is a bit candied and sugary to me, not sure it could be real peaching doing this unless they lactosed the heck out of it, but i get honey and vanilla and mango and apricot too, its a slightly generic peach thing, a simple pale malt base, and a pretty clean ferment although i do want this to be drier for drinkability. the flavor is also sweet on the peach side, juicy and interesting with the sweet cream element, which is bold but i think still tastefully done, i just dont want to drink a lot of this. i think the flavor is unique, but this one is a little out of proportion, like the base beer is lost to the sweet peach candy component, and its approaching that novelty range, although the execution overall is solid, and i think as a morning beer or something this might really work. for me though the residual sugar is just too high, even if i like the flavor mix and respect the effort. fun to breathe some new life into a blonde ale, a usually afterthought type of style in most establishments, its cool they give it some rotating personality. definitely summery.
