12oz can poured into a berliner bowl appears clouded pale yellow with a white cap.
Aroma is lemony lactic, vinous and with a spoiled grain aspect suggesting kettle souring but in a good way.
Taste is tart and lemony lactic with again that slight vinous appeal, apple skins and spoiled grain.
Light in body, lightly to modestly carbonated. This is a pound-able, well executed berliner.
After the fact thoughts: im that much of a nerd that im closing in on having tried almost 200 different examples of the berliner style, most of which ive reviewed on here. This Live Oak version has really lived up to my expectations. I wish I could pound it by the sixer on the daily. Of all the berliners ive tried, this is the top canned offering and top 5 of all time. Well done Live Oak.
