Gose is a Berliner Weisse-style beer with the addition of coriander and salt. The pilsner base barley malt is smoked during the kilning process with beechwood providing a unique compliment to the refreshing lemony tartness from kettle-souring with Lactobacillus.
Live Oak's Gose is a summer seasonal offering, featuring flavor profiles of citrus, coriander and salt balanced with beechwood smoke. Bright, tart, and cooling, this beer can refresh beer enthusiasts even in the hottest of Texas summer months.
IBU: 6

Thanks to babymama2 for bringing this back from her trip to Texas. I love you Moniqua. Had the 1st can during a Packer playoff game
Anyways, this comes in a totally unlabeled can, along the lines of those generic white "BEER" cans back in the day. Pours a cloudy dull yellow into a Lakefront brewery pint glass. 3/4" white head. Good retention. This looks like a gose, yes sir. The aroma checks all the boxes as well. Light, lemony tartness back cut with some salinity, coriander and even lighter smoked effect.
The taste continues to show why Live Oak is one of the best breweries in the world. Great use of sawft wheat, proper amount of sourness, clearly in the gose lane, not a wild ale trying to brand itself as something else. Light smoke still there. Carbonation on point. Lemon yogurt tang all over the place. Not a huge coriander fan but its done just right here. I'll be pounding TF out of the rest of this 6 pack come warmer weather.

On-draught @ Live Oak:
A classic gose... Americans brew this!? It's refreshing to find a true to style Gose from an American brewery that doesn't hide behind fruiting.
Does Live Oak make a bad German beer? Seemingly no.
