12oz canned 7-1-20. Opened 10-10-20.
3 finger dense white head of foam, outstanding retention.
Pale, straw-gold color with very good clarity. Substantial carbonation streaming upwards.
Thick, sudsy lacing.
Faint doughy/spicy nose. Hay. Spicier as the beer warms some.
Earthy/herbal hop flavor - seems at first aggressive against such a light malt bill but it's not. Light woodsy flavor.
Light body, high carbonation and a bone dry (almost tannic) finish.
Good to Very Good.

16.9 oz. pint poured at the brewery on June 18, 2019

L: milky yellow, about 50% opaque, huge thick frothy head of white foam that sticks

S: grass, lemon, bread malt, grain, sour grain ... as it warms, delicate lemongrass with a light malt sweetness

T: earthy bitter lemon peel, light yeast, grassy bite

F: big crisp layer and very full at first; slickens and slides more as you work into the glass

O: might be the best Live Oak beer I've tried, maybe even better than Live Oak Pilz because it's got almost all that good grassy, bready flavor but with just 3/4 of the alcohol or so; if Live Oak cannned this, it would be my No. 1 go-to beer ... it's the best American-made session beer I've tried and reminds me a lot of good English cask ale in the sub-4% ABV range

Pours a foggy orange with a finger and a half of dense, white foam. Head retention is great. Aroma is straw, bready, crackery, wafery malt notes and very faint zesty and spicy hops. Flavor profile follows suit, hitting notes of crackery, wafery malts, and spicy, zesty, citrusy hops. It's light and refreshing, which brings us to mouth feel. It's medium-thin with a sharp and spry carbonation keeping it drinking crisp. Overall, a little hop zip within a well controlled, temperate beer.

On-draught @ Live Oak:

Packs a lot of flavour into a small beer. Without faults. Boasts impressive body. Balanced and enjoyable, with a nice Noble hop flavour.

Crisp and refreshing.

A damn good German lager.
