Collaboration brew with Oddwood Ales and Lagers.

From a can this pours into a glass with remarkable clarity, topped by a silver white cap of foam. Subtly smoked, light and bright. Mere wisps on the nose, delicate on the palate. More than the smoke, however, there’s a zippy hop note on the sip, too. Delightful.

12 fl oz unlabelled can from the brewery taproom. $12 USD plus tax per sixer.

3.8% ABV.

A bit insipid if we're being honest, but about as fully flavored as a 3.8% plain jane leichtbier can be without suffering from off flavours I guess.

Tough to imagine buying this again when Live Oak's Lichtenhainer offers so much more flavour at a scant 3.2% ABV.

Not a beer I'd buy again...you're better off just accepting the slightly higher ABV of any of Live Oak's pilsners. What's 3.8% to ~4.3%?

If you want a leichbtier for leichtbiere sake, then go ahead and waste your wallet on this one. If you want a flavourful beer at a low ABV, there's no shortage of offerings at Live Oak that surpass this.

Had this beer on tap at the brewery. Poured into a tall pint glass.very clear yellow color with a nice white head and good curtain lacing. Subdued smell which was bready and dry. Clean, crisp taste with a pleasant, slightly bitter finish. Overall a decent pilsner.
