A light fruit aroma and flavor leads with this beer, with a low noble hop aroma. Unfiltered and straw color with delicate white head. Clean and crisp but don't mistake this beer with what you drank in college.

Cans I picked up from the brewery were exceedingly crisp, almost brut-like.

Taste: Citrus, lemon, fruit, crackers, hint of sweet, bright finish. Same with the nose. Bright golden hue, clear, with white head and lace. Medium body. Easy drinker with appetizers.

Look: clear, yellow.
Smell: Synthetic fertilizer, stale bread
Taste: More synthetic fertilizer, moldy grass, and stale crackers
Feel: Very thin, right up their with the macro pale lagers
This used to be a fantastic Kolsch and one of my favorites about two years ago. I'm not sure what happened, but this beer tastes like blended up grass sprinkled with a hefty dose of synthetic fertilizer. Very disappointed in this offering. I think they need to focus less on the "New England" style ipas and go back to their roots of session beers.

Growler into a helles lager glass (closest thing I have to a Stange at the moment)
A - Moderate to heavy pour produces a head that is 2 fingers in height and is a bright white in color. The head is a heavy froth in appearance and dissipates rather slowly to a very thin but creamy layer. The beer itself is a bright golden color and hazy with moderate carbonation visible. Medium sized bubbles rise moderately paced towards the surface. 4/5
S - Light cereal malt and light fruit such as peaches, pears, and white grapes come out with the malt leading the way and the fruit acting as an understudy, but an understudy that is ready to lead the way if given the chance. Light pepper and caramel come through as well but these are further under the fruit. Noble hops come through providing a nice clean aroma. 4/5
T - Light caramel and lightly toasted cereal malt come through immediately and quickly transition to a bit of light fruit (peaches, pears, and white grapes). Slight lemony spritzness right in the middle before a light spiciness reminiscent of black pepper and a light hop bitterness come through on the back end from the noble hops. Dry hay and a bit of green apple come through at times in the middle and back third. Bitterness does linger after swallowing for just a bit. 3.75/5
M - Light carbonation burn up front which transitions into a light and crisp mouthfeel afterwards. Light bodied and smooth. Moderate drying on the back end which lingers about as long as the bitterness does. 4/5
O - Well balanced between sweet and bitter with the fruitness playing a nice role in arbitrating between the malt and hops. Very sessionable beer and full flavored as well. Easy to drink alone or with food. Complex for such a light beer. 4/5
