Taste: gentle hops, some ginger spice, oats, malty backbone. Mildly hopped nose. Dark amber hue, clear with a tall foamy head and ringed lattice of lace. Medium light body. Balanced. Had 3 years ago at the Westmont Tap House.

On tap into a tulip glass
A - Beer arrives cloudy in appearance with a light red and golden orange color that seems to glow slightly. Frothy white head is 2 fingers in height and dissipates very slowly to a rocky layer. 3.5/5
S - Light caramel and fresh white bread hit my nose immediately, however the entire aroma is somewhat muted. Very hop centric aroma with pine and grapefruit, with a light graininess that balances this out a bit. 3.75/5
T - The flavor profile follows the aroma very closely and features and intro with light caramel and fresh white bread which transitions into the hops rather quickly with notes of pine, grapefruit, and lemon fruit (and a bit of peel too). A light grainy malt acts as an undertone to these flavors allowing the hops to ebb and flow as the sip sits in the mouth. Light lingering bitterness finishes off the flavor profile. 3.75/5
M - Light carbonation burn on the front end but not overpowering by any means. Light and crisp throughout with just a light drying on the back end. No lingering dryness. Light to medium bodied in stature. 3.5/5
O - Hop centric as advertised but still a bit hoppy for my taste when it comes to red ales. Nice and light which allows it to sit easy and be sessionable. The sweetness doesn't come through quite enough to balance out the hops but it is still an enjoyable drinking experience. 3.75/5
