I stopped in to Noon Whistle to have dinner and watch a recent Cubs game. After starting off with the Imperial Bernie I decided to switch things up and go a bit lighter to finish out my 2 for the evening.

This Witbier is a cloudy, orangish amber color with light carbonation easily visible. The head is off white in color and frothy in appearance with a very slow dissipation to a thin lacing that is retained nicely. 3.75/5 The aroma is very fruity with notes of lemon, lime, peach, grapefruit, tangerine. The malt is showcased by a bit of white bread that acts as an undertone. This seems to be a well hopped Witbier with a major focus on fruitier hops. 4/5 Light caramel hits the tongue right off the bat before a bit of white bread comes in. These two notes quickly go away and transition to the hop profile of tangerine, papaya, pineapple, and grapefruit. There is less of the citrus flavors (lemon and lime) going on here and more of the tropical fruit flavors, contrary to what the aroma leads you to believe is coming. 3.75/5 A light carbonation burn comes out right at the front of the sip but this quickly goes away and ushers in a light drying along with a light body. This light drying does linger after swallowing but is not unpleasant. 4/5 This is a well hopped, and light, beer that is smooth but dry with a nice tropical focus that is quite tasty. This is definitely a beer that I would return to in the future. 3.75/5
