12oz can, drink by 04/19/19. Red-brown in color capped with a tall tan head that leaves chunky lacing on the glass as it fades. Juicy Mosaic aroma of tropical fruit coupled with sweet carameled grain. Sweet caramel malt and bready grain balances well with the hop flavors of mango, citrus, and mild pine. Medium body, a bit resinous, modest bitterness. I really like this one - I always like red ales and I always like Mosaic hops.

Hopped up red ale sums it up. Nice balance.

Drink by 8/4/18. Narrow top tumbler.
A: pours a turbid orangish amber red with a full two fingers of foamy beige head. Roiling carbonation. Moderate lacing. That head lasted to the very end.
S: tropical and blueberry. Classic mosaic aroma. Smells surprisingly dry. I would have expected more sweetness.
T: arrives dry and malty. Near zero sweetness. Full of loads of bright, acidic hop oil. Raspberries, unripe blackberries, bitter orange. Bready, chewy maltiness. Some lingering lemon peel and grassy, herbaceous bitterness.
M: this is right on for me for an amber; chewy, but not slick or heavy. Some lingering slickness, but overall a clean example for the style. Despite the appearance, moderate carbonation on the tongue.
O: imagine a nice, balanced, clean-finishing amber ale. Now dry hop the hell out of it and crank the hop volume to 11. There you have it. I love Amber ales when well executed, and this starts out as one. I love mosaic hops, too, so this is two of my favorite things in one package, and it is just weird. But I like it, and would buy it again. I am so accustomed to Mosaic beers being light and airy; to have one with heft is strange. I am so accustomed to pairing ambers with food, but this would not go with food. Strange, but really enjoyable beer.

Poured into my trusty Lagunitas Mason Jar. Drink by 3/16/18.
Hazy reddish brown with a minimal off white head, just a hint of lacing.
Aroma is mosaic hops, some tropical fruit.
Taste is similar, a bit of malt backbone.
Slightly oily mouthful, good carbonation.
I liked this more than I thought I would. With an ABV of 5% I can see myself pouring down a few on a hot day. Good stuff!

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 fl oz can on July 23, 2017. Mosaic hops and a small amount of oats give this amber a smooth body. It has a nice balance of hop bitterness and malt sweetness.

From a can poured into a pint, the beer is a chill hazed rusty dark amber with a massive and clingy tan head.
It has a nice aroma as the mosaic hops shine.
The taste balanced between some astringent hops and the carmel, slightly sweet malt notes. As you work through the beer the hops become more assertive and the bitterness is ramped up
The mouth is slightly oily and coating.
This is a decent showcase for the mosaic hops and glad to see them married up with an old school amber.

Pours a cloudy, copper color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of caramel malt, alcohol, slight sweet malt, piney hops, slight citrus hops, and a hint of biscuit. Fits the style of an American Amber / Red Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of caramel malt, alcohol, slight sweet malt, piney hops, slight citrus hops, and a hint of biscuit. Overall, not too bitter, good blend, but average body and aroma.

Very milky orangish-red body, soapy beige head. Nose is wonderful and pungent; lots of tropical fruits including orange, passion fruit, mango, and grapefruit, with a background of caramel malts. The taste becomes flat; the aromatics of those sweet juicy hops fails to cut through the sturdy bready malt, and ends up being akin to orange juice-dipped whole wheat bread. Body is sturdy with coarse carbonation.
That nose caught me by surprise and hooked me, but the flavor and look fell far short of that benchmark.
