Tasted in a snifter from draft at Noon Whistle Brewing on December 13, 2019. Look is dark brown with a thin tan head. Smell and taste is bourbon and vanilla. Feel is a little thin.

Got to try at a bottle share. The vanilla really covers up some of the flaws in the original bernie. Still sneaky yeasty, but feels more creamy with the vanilla taking front. Has coffee, dark chocolate, malt and marshmallow. Little thin in the body still. Good but could be great with some fine tuning

750 ml bottle into a snifter. 2018 edition. Had 3/10/18.
Pours a mostly opaque deep brown, with no head and some very spotty lacing. Aromas of cocoa, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, marshmallow, some caramel and malt. The taste is more bourbon forward, then malt, vanilla, cocoa, chocolate, light oak, some caramel. Some alcohol bleeds through. Mostly smooth, a decent body but a little thin feeling, appropriately carbonated.
The bourbon barrels star, really good aroma. The vanilla didn’t add as much as expected. Maybe could use a fuller malt presence overall.
