16oz can dated 10/28/20 and poured into a pint glass shows an orangish-gold colored body and floats a persistent 1.5in head of mixed white bubbles, leaving erratic webbed lacing.
Aroma of piney, bitter hops and flows into the taste which adds fruity, citrus and tropical, notes.
Full mouthfeel lingers on the palate and brings a bitter aftertaste and a late clean finish.
Overall a nice example of the style for burgers, pizza, and salads.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of tropical hops with citrus notes. Tastes of citrus and tropical fruit. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.

Hits the sweet spot on all levels, smell, taste, and ABV. Great with pub fare or after Thai food. Reminds me a lot of the Belgian abbey beers I used to enjoy in the early 90s

Appearance - Pours a cloudy honey amber with four fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - piney, citrus, earthy, leafy, and floral hops, pine resin, grapefruit and citrus peel, orange, caramel, bready malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - bold piney, citrus, earthy, leafy, and floral hops upfront. The pine resin, grapefruit and citrus peel come through next with a nice bang. The orange, caramel, bready malts alongside the earthy yeast rounds out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the hops, pine resin, and citrus elements lingering.
Overall - A nice example of an in-between style of American IPA and NE IPA that boasts more towards the bitter American side of things. A pleasant offering from this brewery that is quite dangerous in terms of drinkability.

I tried this beer off the tapper at the Naperville brewery location as part of a four sample flight. It poured a golden color with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had nice tropical fruit peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with good citrus presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

16 oz. can dated 10/28/20, like the previous reviewer. Nice golden orange color, clean smell, not fruity. As another reviewer wrote the taste does have a hint of citrus, a sharp hoppiness and a rather bitter end to the taste. I don’t find it overpowering, though, and there is some complexity to the taste. It is something you find yourself mulling over as you drink it. It has a good balanced feel that isn’t too thick nor thin. I would buy this again, as it is a nice contrast to the beers that feature Citra hops. I believe this one uses Mosaic and Simcoe.

Three month old can, still good. Sharp hoppiness, good amount of bitterness, a bit of citrus flavor. Medium bodied, good boozy feel. The Gunmy series gets the lion’s share of attention for these guys, but they do a couple other good series, and this is one of them.
