A tropical take on our Gummy series - this Northeastern India Pale is loaded with juicy pineapple and sweet coconut, and hopped with Falconers Flight and Citra hops.

16 fl oz. can, no date on this one. Swapped my last can of Ghost Face Gummy with this one from the roommate's fridge while he is out of town. He likes spice more than I do, so it is written..
A: Pours orange, hazy, juicy, gummy. Finger of fizzy white head that doesn't last that long.
S: Fruity & juicy - notes of mango, pineapple, papaya, stone fruit, small whaff of alcohol fumes.
T: Pineapple is apparent, super juicy & tropical. Notes of orange, mango, clementine, pineapple juice. Coconut flavors become more apparent in the aftertaste.
F: Smooth & juicy, medium-heft. Husky flavors of coconut linger on the end.
Overall, basic, but good.

Pours a hazy orange with some floaties and thick, fine head.
Smell is sweet and rich with notes of pineapple, gummy candy and peach purée.
Taste is quite sweet with pineapple, coconut and peaches up front. Behind those are some hints of pecans and a mild bitterness with a bit of hop bite to it. Very cocktaily.
Mouthfeel is medium and soft, well carbonated.
Overall, I shouldn't like this as much as I did, it's a bit too sweet, but it somehow works.

Well this certainly has a lot of coconut in it. The smell was dominated by the coconut. There was still a slight smell of the pineapple but it was the coconut that was the main player. Overall it was solid but too much coconut for me.

After a pint and some time to think, I'm still not sure why this didn't quite work for me. Gummycolada clashes with your expectations; it hits the mark in terms of pineapple and coconut flavorings, but the instantiation as an IPA with those flavors threw me off. The bitter hop character of the beer fights against the usual sweetness of a pina colada, so maybe I can chalk this up to cognitive dissonance that would diminish with multiple cans.

December 27, 2017 - on tap at the brewery. Cloudy orange pour with limited head. Aroma and taste were super juicy and fruity. Soft carbonation and clean finish. One of the best IPAs I have ever had.

Very much nails the 'Colada' flavor. Nice creamy body and nose, very pineapple heavy. Enjoyed this one more out of the can (Rather than tap) especially after a couple weeks in.
