A collaboration with Iron & Glass, this Northeast IPA gets its creamy body with the addition of lactose. Belma, Calypso, and Simcoe hops add citrusy, fruity aromas of tangerine, lime and orange.

This was a collaboration Noon Whistle did with Iron and Glass out of Romeoville IL, and Iron and Glass were the exclusive seller of it. I found it to be the best of the Gummys so far. Thick, cloudy juice like appearance with creamy head and lacing. Smell is a very strong citrusy juiciness. I sat here with it two feet away for a few minutes just letting the smell permeate the area. Taste is citrusy and sweet, with a gentle, slightly perceptible bitter background. It's got a good body, filling mouth feel, a viable alcohol presence, and a very easy sipping nature. Outstanding.

Gummybuddy pours like you would expect your Northeast styled IPA to pour, ugly. Pineapple juice with some liquified cardboard swirled in. It's turbid and thick lookin'. The off white head is minimal but the skim coat sticks around for a while and leaves some spotty lace along the glass.
The nose is vibrant and inviting. Big freshly cut pineapple with a backbone of guava is the initial impression. Orange rind. Soft coconut and mango wafts around the background. The malt base is sugar cookie driven and simply laying out a canvas for the massive dry hopping. There's some soft herbal hoppiness as it warms up a bit. Fairly one note but bright and vivid none the less.
Big pineapple again off the bat. A bit of that lactic sweetness comes through and brings about the feeling of an overripe pineapple. Various tropical fruits pop up here and there in varying degrees; green mango, guava, passionfruit. The herbalness comes through a little more in the flavor along with orange peel and adds a touch more depth. It's a bit green yet. The malt base is nearly nonexistent but if I had to say anything...sugar cookie.
The body has a touch of weight and it's a bit oily, both of which work with this product. What I like most about this beer is the bitterness. It nearly reaches moderate over time but not quit. It's not simply some juice bomb like most I run across. That bitterness helps dry out the finish a bit. It's drinkable and bright.
This is a good beer from Noon Whistle, probably the best I have had from them in the Northeast style IPA vein. It's bright and lively even if fairly simple. The bitterness makes it stand out a bit, I like that. I would drink this beer again.

Had on tap at Iron and Glass. Delicious ne ipa. Bursting with citrus and hop aromas. Orange, grapefruit, lime among others. Almost creamy in body with hint of booze on finish. Luscious and heavy hopped while not overpowering the citrus. Could drink a lot of this in one sitting no problem!

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 16 fl oz can on December 14, 2017. Drink by 02/11/18. Look is thick golden straw haze with a creamy head and spotty lacing. Smell is fruity and floral. Taste is juicy with some bitter citrus. Feel is fuzzy.
