16 fl oz. can, canned 08/22/23, less than 2 weeks in the can. Acquired as part of Noon Whistle's variety 8 pack, two tallboys of 4 different beers. This one apparently brewed with mango and ghost pepper, though it doesn't actually indicate that this was made with ghost pepper.
A: Pours hazy & juicy. A bit lighter in color than most hazies, but it still passes the test. Strong finger of fluffy cream froth. Looks pretty damn good in all honesty.
S: Smells fresh, floral, & hoppy. Juicy notes of citrus / mango / stone fruit. It does have a sort of vegetal aroma that I don't normally find in IPA which i will attribute to the pepper.
T: Oh yeah, heat is the first thing I can taste. The initial swallow is super spicy. Second sip finds this one more drinkable; notes of mango, stone fruit, papaya emerge, but it is never really enough to beat the heat entirely, and I say that as someone with a very low spice tolerance. It becomes fruitier & juicier the more I continue to go back for more, and the heat becomes more back-seated, but it is still there with every sip & swallow. It lingers, beckoning you to sip again. I honestly can't tell if I like this or hate this; it's good, fresh, earthy, hoppy, vegetal, & pretty delicious, although the heat retracts from it's drinkability.. For all of these, efforts, i'm going to give it a comfortable 3.75 on taste.
F: The body is smooth, crisp, clean, drinkable enough. The beer itself is spicy as fuck, this is like a rollercoaster of taste. I'm sweating. My mouth burns. I feel like i'm on Hot Ones. I want some milk. Drinking this is definitely akin to eating very spicy wings; there is something truly intoxicating about ingesting very hot peppers, and this beer falls under that experience, and again, I say that as someone with a super low tolerance for hot hot sauces.
Overall, I don't think I would ever want or need 16 fl oz of this, much less 32 oz. of it, so I'm glad I was able to try it as part of a variety pack.

Had at the brewery on tap. The look was cloudy and orange, like orange juice. The smell had a ton of tropical fruit. The taste was tropical fruit up front, a lot of mango. Then you get a little burn from the peppers. I will say that as the beer warms the peppers become way more noticeable. Overall, I kind of enjoyed the pepper burn, it wasn't too over the top.

Really good I guess "experimental" IPA; plenty of citrus in the smell, with just enough of the hot pepper that you know it's there. Pours really cloudy and golden, and really smooth; there's heat, but not enough to burn, just gives it a little bite, and it only hits after the citrus comes at you up front, toward the back of the mouth and throat. Not quite up there for me with Bell's (also limited) Mango Habanero Oberon, but a nice drink for a change of pace if you like a little spice in your beer.
