750 ml bottle into a snifter. Bottled 10/27/17, had 10/28/17.
Pours a dark brown with ruby edges in the light, mostly opaque, with no head and some soapy lacing. Aromas of vanilla, malt, bourbon, oak, toffee, chocolate. The taste is more bourbon forward, then vanilla, malt, chocolate, caramel, light oak. Smooth, a good medium body, appropriately carbonated.
The Koval barrels are always good, and the added vanilla is a definite plus for both the aroma and flavor- although I have not had my bottle of the regular version. Fairly straightforward, but enjoyable.
