750 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 2/9/19.
Pours a ruddy amber, semi opaque, with a quarter inch quickly dissipating head and some spotty cling. Aromas of rye whiskey, chocolate, malt, coffee, toffee. The flavor is similar- rye whiskey, coffee, some chocolate, malt, some caramel- more as it warms, light apple. Smooth, a decent body that could be a little heftier, appropriately carbonated.
Good barrels, great aroma, the body barely supports the barrels. Did not pick out the vanilla in either the aroma or flavor. Enjoyable overall.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at the Noon Whistle Brewing tap room on June 7, 2018. A big imperial brown ale blended with coffee, chocolate and vanilla, with a subtle sweetness and notes of biscuit. Starting with a nutty and sweet aroma and ending with a dry finish. Rye whiskey barrels from Locke + Co. Distillery provide spicy undertones.
