I am trying this beer off the tapper at the Naperville brewery location as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear dark amber with white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had caramel malt notes blended with bourbon, dark fruit and orange peel deliciousness. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to sip with great sweet malt base and bourbon and typical old fashioned presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

750 ml bottle into a snifter. 2019 edition, had 11/1/19.
Pours a cloudy dark amber, with a quarter inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, caramel, orange peel, malt, a light spicy aroma, light char. Similar flavors- bourbon, malt, caramel, orange peel, some alcohol warming, light cherries. Smooth, a very good medium body, well carbonated.
The barrels are excellent and the orange peel comes through well. Fairly straightforward, but well executed. Best fully warmed. Very enjoyable.
