16 fl oz. can, canned 12/09/22. Another freshie from Noon Whistle, about as local of an option as I can get; these guys have been putting out some decent releases later. This one a self-proclaimed "Hazy Double IPA".
Poured to a Piraat snifter.
Pours a hazy, golden, orange juice body. Finger of dense soapy white head that leaves some nice intricate strands of scattered lacing. Beers looks good, appears fresh, juicy, and appealing.
Aroma is hugely fumey, if I'm being quite honest. Tons of fruit juice, tropical stone fruit, but also tons of nail polish remover alcohol fumes.
Taste: fruity & juicy, with a tiny bit of alcohol warmth on the end. Notes of sweetened fruit puree: mango, guava, tangerine. Not bitter, piney, or resinous. Does have some bready biscuit malt sort of presence distinguishable in the background, playing things out, and giving the beer some balance. Aroma and flavor profile both remind me in a way of New Belgium's Voodoo Ranger Juice Force IPA, which carries a 9.5% abv.
Easy drinking stuff, with medium-body. Overall, fresh, fruity, & juicy. More good stuff from Noon Whistle.
