Room temp can pulled from freezer after 20 minutes. Poured into pint glass. Strong frothy head that doesn't stick around as long as the look of the initial, beautiful pour would imply. This is not a thin, watered stout. However, any less carbonation and I would have used the phrase "watery" for mouthfeel but this is right on the cusp and it works great with this beer. The taste is balanced, full and complex. For me, a beer that makes me want to have large, full mouthfuls is a beer that tastes complete. It is enjoyable to drink it, from start to finish. This beer isn't hairy at all, anywhere in the tasting. A nice coffee, chocolate and a bit of cherry/malt combo?! is tasted. Add the subtle carbonation that tickles you on every swallow as the beer settles down in the glass and this stout is a real treat. Great beer!
Pour it with vigor so you can admire it in the glass. Then reward yourself and give it a while to calm down in the glass before indulging.
That is all.
