Draught at Brewpub: This one pours a very dark ruby tinged amber color. It was fairly clear and has a wisp of a light tan head. The nose is good, although a touch lighter than I expected. Malts, a touch of raisin. The hops and malts are evident, but pretty much balance each other out. The taste is good. A touch of dryness and bitterness. Faint raisin, caramel malts and some other dark fruits. Hints of earthy hops. Nice!

Decent red-tinged brown IPA; lots of browned sugar, lots of velvety body for a beer of this sort, lots of hop-acid bitters and not much florality (nor a ton of complexity, for that matter). Think bitter brown, with enough red-malt to buoy the overall impression and keep it from being too one-note. Still: solid, but far from superb.
