Been waiting to try this one!
Appearance is a little sedate, a clear blonde with a short cropped top. Haircut is diminished to crew cut in little time, and is a shame.
Aroma is lovely, subtle caramel notes over a deep fig/malt.
Taste is very good, you get the aroma as expected with the caramel and malt, but rather surprising is the gobsmacking freshness of this brew, like a mouthful of watermelon! Just great.
Downside to that watermelon quencher is that this brew seems a touch watery, but aftertaste is great.
7.7% abv is spot on and really this is a couple of shots away from being a legendary brew, highly recommended.
4.15 is my score, and seems about bob on, a decent head and a touch more guts and you could easily add another 0.25 to that score.....Best French beer thus far.
