Dark mahogany color, with ruby reflexes. Dark beige head, quite compact.
In the smell malt, roasted caramel, some citrus notes, and hints of vanilla. Then the hops take the control of the aroma.
Even in the taste the hop is the more characterizing element of this beer. Then there are the roasted notes, the malty ones, and even a light citrus taste, that gives this brew a touch of liveness.
Difficult to label (something between a brown ale and a stout, perhaps), but this isn't a defect. It is even more interesting.
Hop again in the aftertaste, again in perfect harmony with roasted and caramel.
Good.
