Served in a footed glass at Ale Arsenal.
No head. Dark, murky brown. Smells like molasses. The taste is sour, malty, and strong. Body is thinnish and not too bad. This is not a great beer, but it's an interesting one. Would probably not sample again.

This is a beer to celebrate the 24th anniversary of Drakes. The wort is actually the second runnings from the wort they are preparing for their 25th anniversary! Normally second runnings mean thin-bodied session beers, not in this case!
Appearance: murky amber color with a wispy white head.
Smell: slightly sweet malty nose with a hint of booziness.
Taste: a quick flash of sweetness, a little malt, and then a dry finish with a hint of hops.
Overall: this is a pretty good beer, but I certainly hope I live another year because if this is a hint of things to come for next year and this beer gets some interesting barrel aging I think it will be something people remember.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
