Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into an Allagash cervoise glass. Bottled on 27 September 2010.
A: Two fingers of off-white head. Red-dark, but clear. Chestnut. Light effervescence. Great lacing.
S: Very piney hops. Citrus peel. Not much else. They've clearly loaded this one down with dry-hops.
T: Whoah. That's one hella hoppy amber. The foretaste is almost exclusively hops, while the latter half of the taste exudes the caramelly malt body and flavor one expects from an amber ale. Interesting and enjoyable. Nutty and pleasant.
M: Full, rich, and textured. A hint of bitterness on the aftertaste, but just a bit.
O: A good beer, but not a great one. Would have again, but Drake's makes better stuff.
