Pint Night leftovers from Harry's Hofbrau, Redwood City.
A - pitch black, with a nice 1/2" head that dissipates quickly. Inviting.
S - Straight up Brandy at first. Swirl creates more Chocolate, dark fruits (Base Beer if you're familiar with it) and more Brandy. The nose on the base beer is so-so anyways, but the Brandy adds complexity.
T - A wee but better than the nose suggests. Sad thing about the Brandy barrels is that they only lend sweet cherry Brandy flavors. No Vanilla, no Oak, no coconut that Bourbon barrels lend. However, it still improves upon the base beer.
M - very nice. Smooth and softer than the base beer. Nice.
O - Recommended if you can find it. Solid. Not mind blowing but solid.
