Had a single draft at Brioche on Haight Street in San Francisco for about eight dollars. My first brew from these guys. Just ok for me...unusual after taste....

A: Moderately hoppy with citrus and light pine and very light tropical fruit notes, with faint malt.
A: Coppery orange color, lightly hazy, with a thin white head that has decent retention before forming a ring around the glass.
T: Moderate brett tropical fruit flavors, coupled with citrusy and slightly piney hops, light malt with light hop bitterness on the finish.
M: Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: Solid; the brett is not funky, but provides interesting tropical fruit notes to the base beer's aroma and flavors and pairs well.

another unique and delicious hop driven beer from drakes. this is a brett fermented pale with cherimoya in it, a weird ingredient to add, but the flavor is amazing. quite a lot going on in this cloudy pale straw colored brew that holds its inch of airy white head just fine. it smells sensational, dry brett with a nice must and tang on the back end. not real sure what cherimoya is supposed to taste like, but there is apple sort of flavor i assume it provides here, right before the hops come in hard on the back end. its dry though, and not real bitter, so before i really even have a chance to try and make sense of these flavors, its completely evaporated from my tongue, which is a frustrating but sexy little tease. it dances with carbonation on the palate, and as each bubble goes, a little burst of hop flavor, brett funk, or weird pithy apple flesh explodes and then dissipates that quickly, pretty cool. i like the hops, not sure which theyve used, but it works amazingly well with the brett, and in the end becomes a pretty complex and nuanced little drink here. first funky thing i have had from these guys and its excellent.

This pours a hazy orange tan with thin foam.
Lightly funky aroma that's met with a rounded hop presence. Tapers down into a slightly sweet and funky finish. The Brett changes the 1500 into something familiar but unique and different. Found this on tap a few times at the barrelhouse and loved it each time.
