This is an Imperial Pumpkin Porter.
I'm a HUGE fan of pumpkin beers, and have sampled over 40 different ones this season. The Rise of the Dark Gourd was the one I liked the least. I could detect no pumpkin notes whatsoever. The only taste, which was overwhelming and dominant over anything else, was coffee. If this was called an Imperial Coffee Porter it would be spot-on.
Many people like strong coffee flavors in their porters. I'm not one of them.
