Yet another beer that has been on here for years, but has no reviews. Weird how beer karma rewards that, but not being the first to review a beer. Whateva, I do what I want. Anyways, had this at BeerNV, a real underrated place for a beer.
Pours a light hazy yellow well within style guidelines. 1/4" white head. Mild wheat like presence, and a bit stronger yeast component than your average traditional berliner. But that would be about the only thing that skewed non traditional here.
Taste was right in the traditional berliner wheelhouse. More of a tart and clean presence than one that was harshly sour. Basically, this is Hottenroth, not Frucht if that makes sense to you. Light body, any aromas of banana/hefe/clove are not present in the taste. Its just a super crushable levity of body and smacking tart in the middle of the road. Drake's is underrated at many things, and this appears to be another one flying under the radar. Bottle this and put it in 4/6 packs please!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
