Poured a medium and clear orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of pinecones, light caramel, spicy, and it had a light earthiness to it. Tastes of citrus, caramel, pine and light spices. Thinner and chewy body.

Had this from a gravity-pour cask at the Boonville Fest '06. My favorite beer there, I went back for thirds and forths. Pours dark ruby-red with a tiny head. Really bitter, really floral, and really citrusy. Relatively on the thick side but still very tasty and drinkable. The perfect firkin beer. I believe this was made with either mostly or all summit hops, and it was around 9.5% abv. A real beauty .

05/11/06- On tap at the Toronado in San Francisco, CA.
Presentation- From the tap into a tulip style glass.
Appearance- Orange-golden pour. Slight creamy white head with thin whisps of lace.
Smell- Very nice sweet hoppy scent. First whiff seemed a bit perfumey, but it turned into a very sugary and fruity scent.
Taste- Very easy drinking brew. Doesn't seem to be too high in the abv dept. Maybe 8%? Mostly grapefruit and other citrus flavored hops. The hops aren't as intense as I was hoping. Seemed kinda muted. Light malt backs up the beer.
Mouthfeel- Creamy, smooth and low carb.
Drinkability- I've had more flavorful DIPA's, but this one seems really drinkable for some reason. Session DIPA?
