Had this at the Bistro Double/Triple IPA festival on Saturday. Was one of my favorites, even though it was consumed near the end of the festival. I believe this is the beer to commemorate Celebrator the magazine's 30th anniversary.

Pours that light orange and amber color, small 1/5" white head. Aroma popped nicely of some varied classic C hop stuff and obvious newer proprietary/experimental hops and then firm aromatic ones like Amarillo really giving it the best of both worlds in the nose.

Taste is a nicely done firm bitterness from the Cascade/Chinook/Centennial combination but there is a nice citrus and tropical backdrop to it. I think I see what is going on here, over the last 30 years, you can really get the evolution of hops in this one, and damn if it isn't better for it. Even the malt base is varied through the years, there is all kinds of stuff in here, pilsner malt, some wheat. So it isn't that bone dry west coast thing, but there is some NE ipa aspects, but far from dedicated to that style. C hops, Amarillo and Simcoe take up the traditional and middle ages, and then that other experimental hop and varied malt stylings bring it into 2018. Would bang in bottles if they get there with this one.
