Tap @ Stone. Pours clear copper with a small white head. Soft aroma of caramel, yeast, and spice. Drinks a lot like a Belgian strong, with a finish of bubblegum, clove, and yeast, with some bitter/sourness. Good. I think BA has this category wrong, because this has all the markings of a trippel, not an Imperial Stout.

8 ounce glass served in a 1/2 pint at the Stone World Bistro yesterday for four dollars, reviewed from notes
A-Color is a mix between copper and amber, nice and cloudy, small 1/4 inch bubbly off white head that went away quickly, not much retention, no real lacing
S-Caramel, spices, sweet yeast, roasted accents, brown sugar, bubble gum, toffee, and light fruits
T-Big caramel flavor right off the bat, some booze in the finish, later on an interesting sour flavor comes to the surface along with some mellow fruitiness, gets a little sweeter as time goes by but still has the heat from the alcohol, Belgian yeast and spices come about before the end, complex brew that has a lot of strength in taste
M-Medium bodied, could have used some more carbonation, mouthfeel was slightly hot but sweet with some dryness, taste lingered for a long time
D-Could not have drank much more of this, it did not help that it was hot out in the garden, little heavy on the stomach, smooth overall though
I was surprised to see this down in Southern California and did not hesitate on ordering a glass for that reason alone, not Drake's absolute best but pretty darn good, probably will not drink again but would not mind, recommended
