Had a glass at Beachwood BBQ a week or so back for around six dollars, reviewed from notes on my cell phone
A-Golden orange and amber color, small 3/4 inch somewhat creamy white head, some retention and nice lacing
S-Grapefruit and a good amount of piney hoppiness, bread, light malt, grassy accents, faint lemon straw
T-Starts off with pine and citrus, bready malt in the middle along with a big grapefruit flavor carrying through, finish was bitter with more piney hops and still citrus, nicely balanced with a variety of hop flavors
M-Citrusy, dry, and bitter mouthfeel, thin to medium body, high level of carbonation, taste lingered
D-Could drink a lot of this, was told this was right around seven percent, could not taste much alcohol if it indeed was, lighter on the stomach, smooth for its style
The consensus with this one between my dad, Gabe, a few others, and I, was that this beer is not much different if at all from the standard IPA from Drake's, does not mean it is not a great beer though, will be interested to see if this was more of an experiment or something that might be showing up more, not much hoppier or bitter than the standard version but still worth checking out if you see it
