On tap for the 4th Anniversary event at Blue Palms Brewhouse in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a murky yellow with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, yeast, spices, citrus, and wood. Taste is much the same with a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is easy to drink but quite mild in both the aroma and flavor.

Source/Serving: On tap @ Toronado's

S: Fairly light overall. Light coriander and other spices layered overtop crisp pear. Slightly bready with a touch of honey.

T: One dimensionally full throttle dry and spicy. Dry, intense spice up front with an almost lack of malt character. Slightly like spiced water and neither bitter nor sweet…. Just some light honey. The middle gets slightly juicy (apple juice) with some grassy bitterness but is still quite dry and spice continue to dominate. No hint of alcohol at any point. Finish is dry with almost punishing spice and Is slightly bitter with a hint a caramel and just the tiniest hint of barnyard notes…. But I think that’s due to the spice and not Brett. Better colder than when it warmed.

Had this on tap at Toronado in San Francisco. I didn't realize this wasn't entered already, or I would have written down the ABV. Pours cloudy orange colour with thin white head. Nice lacing and ok head retention. Very mild apple smell to go with the Belgian yeast. Quite a mild sweet flavour. Smooth mouthfeel. A nice Belgian style ale.
