Had on-tap at The Lanesplitter in Berkeley. This beer is brewed for them by Drake's according to the bartender. The abv was not known.

Pours a clear, light orange with straw yellow as well. Head is two-fingers and pretty short lived. Clarity is good, but lacing is not.

Nose is very grainy, with lots of not super strong but soothing Malta. Citrus and bitterness is only faintly evident here. Thankfully the malts smell very good.

Taste is a blend of that graininess plus a healthy dose of citrus and a touch of pine. The bitterness at the finish is also stronger than expected, though nothing earth shattering either. Much more balance in terms of hops vs. malts here and the beer is better for it.

Mouthfeel is crisp, smooth, clean, and slightly fizzy from the carbonation. Softly acidic due to the nature of the malts not cancelling out the feel of the hops. Drinkability is clearly the goal of this beer and it achieves it for sure. Balance in flavor is impeccable, and the beer can't be much more than 5% abv so it is ok in that department too. At $2.75 a pint during happy hour this beer is a steal. Get it as part of the 7/10 split and you won't be sorry!
